In a gesture celebrating diplomatic relations and the natural beauty of both nations, Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet of Cambodia was honoured with a new orchid hybrid named after him. The orchid, known as Vanchoanthe Hun Manet, was unveiled during his official visit to Singapore from June 18 to 19, 2024.

The naming ceremony took place at Singapore’s renowned National Orchid Garden, with dignitaries from both countries in attendance. The Vanchoanthe Hun Manet orchid, distinguished by its vibrant hues and resilient characteristics, symbolizes the blossoming ties between Cambodia and Singapore.
The flowers of the Vanchoanthe Hun Manet orchid are predominantly pink with hints of purple, featuring delicate petals and a striking lip. The blossoms have a mix of lighter and darker shades, giving them a dynamic and eye-catching appearance. The intricate patterning on the petals adds to the visual appeal, making this orchid hybrid a beautiful and fitting tribute to the Prime Minister.
